Firefighters in Dover Twp. were called to the 4500 Block of West Canal Road for a building fire when passersby noticed smoke coming from and industrial building. High winds and heavy fire load along with initial water supply shortage made for a fast advancing fire which quickly went defensive. Firefighters narrowly escaped a large collapse of the building and several received minor burns from rapid fire development. Additional alarms as well as additional tankers were brought in to assist. The building was a complete loss.
